Hi everyone! I know, I know...it's been quite a while since I've updated this thing. I am really not a good blogger...but I am trying, promise! Anyways, things have been going great around here lately! A lot has happened since Halloween, so I will try to make this as short as possible. As for Kenzie Bear, she is fantastic! She is potty trained now (except for the poop part...we are still working on that). She got the hang of it in about a day and is doing pretty well. The downside to it is that now when we go ANYWHERE, she must go to the bathroom and try the potty out...it's her new hobby. She will sit on the pot for 30 seconds and then say in a sheepish voice "all done". Nothing to show for it except the unused toilet paper that she put in there. Then she will proceed to ask me for a treat...she acts like a 2 year old or something...sheesh! I will say that M&M's have totally gotten us through potty training...they are the Lord's gift to us mother's. On a funnier note, she held her poo for 5 days!!! And of course tonight, when we had a sitter, she let it all go and we got a call from our innocent babysitter asking, "um...where should I put the accident?". Anyways, I am VERY proud of her. I totally underestimated her thinking that this would be really hard and take forever...not so much...she was ready and she got the job done! Since it's only been a few days I am still getting used to not having a million diapers around...maybe I should go and buy something nice for myself since I dont have the added expense of diapers now?? (:
On another note, I have been training for a marathon since May...a good 6 months now. A couple of weeks ago I had an injury that prevented me from training and I thought my chance at this CRAZY marathon was over. I was wobbling around in my air cast feeling sorry for myself instead of trusting God that he would take care of me...always has...always will. So to make a long and painful story short...I ran the half marathon on Tgiving Day completely pain free and am planning to run the full on the 14th of this month is Dallas, TX. I am feeling very unprepared due to the weeks of missed training, but I am leaning completely on God to get me through every mile. I'll keep ya posted...no pun intended!
