This past week we went to the beach with the Thornton family (Hunter's family). We had such a great time! We went to the neatest little beach...Grayton Beach. It is just outside of Destin...very quiet and nice...cute little stores and restraunts. The trip up there was ok...Mac's Aunt Madi let her borrow her DVD player so she was able to watch some Baby Einstein on the way up (the same one over, and over). The DVD player, stickers, and silly putty pretty much did the trick. We were hoping that she would do her usual 3 hour nap in the car...no dice. We got a short 1 hour nap and a cranky baby for the rest of the day. Once we got there and she got adjusted to the time change, all went great! She LOVED spending time with her family (grandparents, aunts, and uncles). She also really enjoyed the pool. We put some swim floaties on her arms and she was completely confident in floating on her own. We were so proud of our little swimmer! One thing that she did NOT like one bit was the ocean and the sand. She would not even let her feet touch the sand. She must be a texture person. Anyways, we tried taking her down there a couple of times and she was miserable. So we decided that our time was best spent at the pool where she was content. All in all...the trip was great and we all had such a wonderful time.
